Am I the only one who is slightly irked when people speculate about whether or not Ramsay raped Theon? Because he did, explicitly, right there in canon, on his and Jeyne’s wedding night. Just - the lack of violence does not make something not rape. The lack of penetration does not make something not rape. And no, the fact that Theon was the one being made to act upon Jeyne, and not being the one being acted upon himself, very much does not make it not rape, either. The idea that rape equals forceful/violent sexual intercourse, with the rapist always being the one taking the “active” part and the victim always being the “passive” one, is really fucking narrow and disregards a whole lot of traumatizing experiences.
Both Theon and Jeyne were raped that night. Period.
(Do I think Ramsay also sexually violated Theon in other ways? Quite likely, both from hints in canon and from the fact that for many or most rapists it’s less about sexual orientation - not that we know for sure what Ramsay’s is, anyway - and more about power, and if there’s one thing Ramsay seems to love, it’s exerting power over his victims. But really, this storyline is depressing enough already, I don’t want to think about all the other horrifying things that might have happened.)
